We encounter another miraculous experience with Jesus in today's text. Jesus seems to be on a casual stroll, out on the lake, when the disciples see him and are terrified... rightly so.
What does this miracle convey to you, the hearer, today? From feeding 5,000 men (plus others with them), to walking on water, what is the author communicating about Jesus? about the disciples? to you? Spend some time contemplating the truth of this story, then the truth behind the truth.

Elizabeth does not take no for an answer. She's determined, driven, and does not give up. If you need someone in your corner, I'd suggest Elizabeth. She goes to bat for the things and people she believes in, and she's notorious for getting things done. She's loud but listens well. She's sarcastic but supportive, confident but willing to learn. Elizabeth is a pastor, preacher, teacher and in her spare time a wife and mother to three kids. She loves to share a good meal, but be forewarned, she'll definitely be late.
He brings his own french press coffee with him wherever he goes, but happily shares it with anyone who needs a pick me up. His dreads have a power all their own. He'll call you on your BS, but in a way that makes you grateful for his wisdom. He's the guy you want to hang out with over any kind of beverage. His favorite non-holiday is Pentecost, and the Holy Spirit is his jam. He's a pastor, a wise-man, a husband, a father of two girls, a caffeine addict, a native Missourian, and an advocate for justice. He hates wearing shoes.
